Car Insurance Mitsubishi (Car Insurance). Has anyone used AAA for simple preventative maintenance?Has anyone used AAA for simple preventative maintenance? I put the cart before the horse but they offered 3 VIP cards for the price of 2, 119.00 bottom line for 9 state inspections, 21 oil changes 9 tire rotations, 9 flat tire fixes and many discounts for upper maintenance work like brakes, alighnmenst ect...I couldn't pass up the deal, but I want to hear other persons remarks about thier service. the cards are good for 3 years after you first punch it as well, so I could have free state inspection and oil changes for 8+ years. Remember that AAA is a membership driven organization. They don't keep the doors open by screwing people. My local AAA doesn't offer these services in our area yet, but as soon as they do I'll check them out. AAA is a life saver when you are at the side of the highway broke down. I have a 98' GMC pickup with a 5.7L and 200k miles. Now with my last truck, which went about 500,000 on one 4.1L engine, when I noticed a puff of blue smoke in cold starts, it meant my valve seals were leaking. Pull the heads, and have them rebuilt. It is a certified repair shop for at least six insurance companies but not the one that paid for this job. I got it back and the rear bumper gash looked like it had been bondoed but required additional work, but they chose to paint over it. Also looked like they had painted over debris on the bumper. The hood had air bubbles and bumps. I had paid out of pocket to have the hood done. In replacing the hood, they had chipped the existing paint on one fender and the front grill. The passenger door, which they replaced had black painted trim that hadn't been touched and was largely showing bare metal. The door sill had a wad of either bondo or had been welded that wasn't sanded down. The paint, as a whole, had air bubbles throughout it. On the door, there were large paint bumps coming up. The bottom of the door appears to have been painted over rust. Upon returning it, they reluctantly agreed to repair it and give me a rental car. But, as I mentioned to the assistant manager when he said they'd fix it and buff it all out, that would remove a lot of the clear coat. His reply was that it's clear coated three times. Even if they fix it and make it look right, if they remove much of the clear coat, am I right that the paint job won't last as long? car insurance. Auto parts : > Cargo Bar Mitsubishi 2007. Mitsubishi . How to Replace Tail Lights on a ColoradoThe Chevrolet Colorado is a small pickup truck that was introduced as a 2004 model, replacing the S10 pickup that had been around since the early 1980s. As of 2010, the Colorado is still being offered as Chevrolet's entry level truck. The Colorado is larger than the S10, therefore comes standard with a larger five cylinder engine, as opposed to the S10's four cylinder. The tail lights on the Colorado house the combination stop and tail lights, backup lights, and turn signals. You can replace a tail light assembly, as well as individual bulbs, with just a screwdriver. Difficulty:Moderate Instructions Things You'll Need Phillips screwdriver Step by Step : 1 Lower the rear tail gate, which will reveal the two tail light retaining screws. Remove the screws with a Phillips screwdriver and place them aside. 2 Grasp the edges of the tail light assembly with your fingers and pull it straight back away from the rear of the truck to release the retaining clips. Be aware that the bulb socket wiring will still be attached to the rear of the assembly. 3 Remove the uppermost bulb socket in the rear of the tail light assembly by pushing in on the release tab on the socket and twisting it in a counterclockwise direction. Pull the socket straight out of the assembly. Remove the remaining two bulb sockets in the same fashion. Label the sockets to ensure they are installed into the correct receptacle on the replacement tail light assembly, if desired. 4 Push the uppermost bulb socket into the top receptacle on the replacement tail light assembly and turn it in a clockwise direction to lock it into place. Install the remaining bulb sockets in the same fashion. 5 Push the tail light assembly into the tail light bracket on the rear fender of the truck until it snaps into place. Drive the two retaining screws in with a Phillips screwdriver. Close the tail gate. Tips & Warnings To replace one of the three bulbs in your Colorado's tail light, remove the assembly from the rear fender as instructed above. Remove the bulb socket from the rear of the assembly. Pull the bulb straight out of the socket. Push a fresh bulb into its place. Install the socket and tail light assembly as instructed above.
Mitsubishi . How to Replace a Tail Light on a 2001 Mitsubishi GalantWhen your taillights fail, and they are sure to fail at some point, you can change them yourself to avoid the cost of a mechanic. The inside of the Mitsubishi Galant's trunk looks finished, with carpet on the walls. It might be hard to know where to find the light fixture and you might be afraid to ruin your car's interior by pulling up carpet, but in just a few steps the light can be changed and the trunk's interior left looking like new. Difficulty:Moderately Easy Instructions Things You'll Need 10mm socket Step by Step : 1 Open the trunk and look at the back of the trunk on the side of the bad taillight. Find the three plastic protector screws that hold up the interior carpet and remove them. Pull back the carpet; it is attached by Velcro, so don't be alarmed when you hear a ripping sound. 2 Find three bolts with retaining nuts where the carpet used to be. Remove the nuts with the 10mm socket. Remove the light fixture. 3 Look at the light fixture; there should be three lights. The taillight will be the most inner one. Twist the light to the left and it will come out easily. 4 Replace the light with the 2057 duel filament bulb by putting it in the socket and turning it to the right until it is seated securely. Put the light fixture back into its slot and tighten the nuts. 5 Replace the carpet and plastic protector screws. Tighten the screws until they are tight, but do not break them. Tips & Warnings You can keep extra lights and a socket in your trunk in case you need to change a light while on the road. The 2057 duel filament bulb lights the taillights with the 4 watt filament and the brake lights with the 27 watt filament. Be sure to get the right bulb, as the 1056 bulb looks almost exactly the same but has only one 23 watt filament and is used for the turn signal. Ford Taurus. * Checking, \lour Fuel Pump If your engine doesn't seem to be getting enough (or any) fuel, the problem can be caused by many reasons — a blocked fuel line or fuel filter or a faulty fuel pump, fuel injector, or carburetor. Before you allow anyone to talk you into replacing your fuel pump, check it yourself to see whether it really is the culprit. An easy way to do so is to unhook the hose that carries the fuel from the fuel pump to the fuel injectors or carburetor at the end farthest from the pump, and stick it in a clean can. Then, with the emergency brake on and the car in Park or Neutral, have someone use the ignition key to crank the engine while you see whether fuel comes out of the hose. If it does, your fuel pump Mitsubishi . Why do performance cars use wide tyres?

Be sure to shut off the engine before the fuel overflows the can, and be careful not to spill the gasoline — it can ignite easily. If your fuel pump does need replacing, a rebuilt one is often as good as a new one, and a lot less expensive. If you're feeling adventurous, some manufactur ers supply rebuild kits. You can take your pump apart with a screwdriver and rebuild it yourself, following the directions on the kit. If that idea doesn't enchant you, ask your service facility to locate and install a rebuilt fuel pump. It should be guaranteed for at least three months. Originally, these fumes were simply dispelled into the air through a tube, because if they were left to accumulate, they would foul the oil in the crankcase. Since the early 1960s, a method called positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) has been in general use. This is much more efficient and desirable: Instead of allowing exhaust fumes to pollute the air, the method reroutes them back to the intake manifold so that they can be reburned in the cylinders along with the rest of the fuel/air mixture. PCV also increases fuel economy, because the engine can run on the fuel in the exhaust fumes as well as on the regular fuel/air mixture. Not every vehicle has a PCV valve, but most do. If yours has one, check the PCV valve every time you do a tune-up to make sure that it isn't clogged with sludge from the contaminants in the exhaust fumes. If it ceases to function, the fuel/air mixture that has been adjusted to take these fumes into consideration will go out of balance, and your vehicle won't operate as efficiently. Most car manufacturers suggest that you clean and replace PCV valves after about 12,000 miles of driving. Locating your PCV VaiVe To locate your PCV valve, use these tips: *-* On fuel-injected engines, the PCV valve may be located in the intake manifold or inside the valve cover (see Figure 13-6).
